Our Portraiture

March 6, 2009

This is what my girl and I always do during our freetime. We go out and shoot shoot shoott!! Without needing a photographer pressing the shutter button, we used a tripod and timer instead. A bit troublesome cuz I have to run to get my position after starting the timer, and run back to chimp. hermm.. I guess I need to buy the remote for our next shoot…

This shot was inspired by one of Nokia’s print ad. We shot this at Putrajaya bridge ( the one near to PICC), parked my car by the road side and position it so that the street lights and traffic lights are visible in frame. Once done with that, I open the hatchback of my car, set up the tripod + camera behind the car, mount 80-200 2.8 and start compose the scene. I took out my little lightstand and mount the sb-800 set at 1/8th power zoomed to 85mm with the radio receiver attached, then positioned at the front left corner of my car. Next I sprayed the windscreen with water to get the ‘rain’ effect, as if this was shoot during a rainy day. After a few test shots and tripod locked, I start the timer and shoot till I get the best shot.

These are the other 2 of my favs..
